Once you enter the world of The Boudoir Diaries Studio we will make you relaxed and comfortable. If you have any special requests just let us know. Along with the make up, hair artist and stylist we will go over with you what will happen in the day and refresh the ideas that we discussed at the consultation. You will then go into makeup, enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne with a strawberry and the show will begin...This shoot is going to bring out your sensual side and show feminine luxury in our style of intimate boudoir photography. When do I need to book for my photo shoot?
We are currently accepting bookings 30 days in advance. If you would like to book for a Holiday we suggest 45 days. Please allow time to have your final prints made, 10 days for prints and canvases, 30 days for coffee table books. We do require a 50% deposit at time of booking and final payment is due 7 days before shoot. If you need to change your time or day we will do whatever we can to accommodate you. If you need to cancel your date or time we require at least 7 days notice. Once the 7 days has passed your deposit will be a cancelation fee.
What information do you need from me to book a photo shoot?
You will need to let us know your type of package you want. We then need to know what type of photography you are looking for (boudoir, pin up, erotic, location etc) What you want from the shoot (prints, canvases, coffee table book) If you have a certain image in mind let us know. Any deadlines that need to be met. This is a starting point, any package may be changed at the time of the shoot. Once we book a time we will set up a consultation to go over all the details.
What should I bring to the shoot?
You should bring lingerie, jewelry, shoes, props, you can bring your favorite lip color and eye shadow, false eye lashes and anything else you think of you would like to shoot in. The more the better. We do have a wardrobe stylist who can put together any outfit you desire for a fee. During our consultation we will decide what you will wear, what you have and what we my need to supply for the shoot.
What about make-up and hair styling?
Along with our make up and hair stylist we will discuss the best look for the image we are going to achieve. We start with the lightest look first and then add on for a more dramatic look. You should come with a clean face, no moisturizer, clean hair and manicured nails and feet. We strongly recommend make up and hair but if you prefer you can do your own.
How do I decide what kind of sets I would like to shoot in?
We are known for our creative art direction when it comes to building a set customized for you. At the time of consultation we will go over sets we have and what we can create. We really are unlimited with our backgrounds. Any we have in our studio you are welcome to use at no charge. Any custom ideas will be priced time and materials.
How do I pose?
Most of our clients are NOT models. We will position you in the best way for your look and make you feel natural and comfortable. We have plenty of samples of boudoir, pin up and erotic photography for you to get an idea of what you like. Almost all our clients are posed by either Howard and/or Christine.
When do I see and edit my final images?
Unlike other studios we will edit and choose your final images that day. Right after we are finished shooting you will work with us on our computers and decide what images you want and what sizes to make them. The actual prints can take up to 10 days and coffee table books up to 30 days.
Can I bring home copies of the final images for others to see?
After we have edited your shoot for an additional charge we can make what is called a contact sheet of the images for you to take home and review. This will slow the final printing process so we recommend that you pick your finals that day.
Can I bring a friend or pet?
We love them all! Unfortunately we have limited studio space and we value your privacy and prefer to shoot you alone. So they will have to enjoy themselves in our waiting area. We have cat, dog and people treats available for them to snack on... We do not allow any other photography in the studio so please no cameras allowed.
All packages include: High quality professional photography, Your final choices include super high resolution images, all necessary retouching, color correction and high quality prints. Final images are your property and you will receive a copyright release. No image will be displayed sold or used in anyway without your permission. A 50% deposit is required to book a shoot.
